Production Team Lead

Supervises workers engaged in layout and machine operating to produce completed parts by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists in the analysis of work orders to determine production schedules. Provides good communication on production obstacles with supervisors. Able to respond to changing condition and implement changes quickly to maintain production goals.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Communicate with employees relating to issues, such as productivity, quality, safety, etc. to assure that workers are productive and follow company procedures. Provides feedback to workers on problems and monitors their work progress.
Possesses leadership skills to respond quickly to production issues that warrant attention to maintain production targets and objectives.
Assists in the planning of the flow of materials and orders through the department.
Able to interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Assists the production team in operating or keeping critical machines running during the shift.
Assures that workers are inspecting and measuring production parts to verify that work is in conformance to company standards.
Training employees; planning, assigning, and directing workers; appraising performance, and resolving problems are the essential responsibilities of the Team Leader position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of managerial experience. Associate‚ s degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before team members and management.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
